Proximity to the Haram

Where will you stay?

In Makkah, everything is measured by distance from Al-Masjid al-Haram. Tap a ring to see how close each zone sits — and which packages live there.

M C B A
Zone A · Closest

Steps from the Haram

🚶 0–5 min walk · often overlooking the courtyards

The innermost ring. Hotels here sit right beside Al-Masjid al-Haram — many rooms look onto it. Ideal for elderly and first-time pilgrims who want the shortest walk to prayer.

Closer to the Haram means higher cost. Farther zones use comfortable shuttles at prayer times.

Understand Before You Book

The choices that shape your journey

A little clarity makes the Nusuk checkout far easier. These two decisions drive most of your comfort — and your cost.

Shifting vs. Non-Shifting

The single biggest driver of comfort and price.

  • Non-shifting — one hotel for your whole trip (minimum 10 days). Less packing, more stability; ideal for elderly and first-time pilgrims. Typically costs more.
  • Shifting — two accommodations: one near the Sacred Mashair during the Hajj days, plus a hotel near the Haram before or after (minimum 14 days). More affordable, with efficient logistics.

Rooms, Transport & Add-ons

Every package lets you tailor a few key details:

  • Room type — packages include a bed in a shared quad (most economical), triple, or double room (most preferred). Fewer beds costs more; roommate preferences are accommodated where possible but not guaranteed.
  • City transport — every Hisar Tour package includes the Haramain High-Speed Railway for the ~450 km between Makkah and Madinah: about 2.5 hours in comfort instead of up to 9 by bus.
  • Add-ons — meals, a Murshid guide, SIM card, and Qurbani.
Care for Every Pilgrim

Thoughtful support for those who need it most

Hajj is demanding, and every pilgrim's needs are different. Two groups receive our special attention from the first call to the farewell Tawaf.

Support for Sisters

Women of all ages travel with us — with or without a mahram — and are cared for with dignity and discretion throughout.

  • Female support staff and sisters-only guidance where needed
  • Careful privacy at hotels, in Mina and Arafat, and at the Rawdah
  • Coordinated Rawdah visit scheduling for sisters in Madinah
  • A comfortable space to ask questions and be heard
  • Female-friendly room and group arrangements

First-Time & Elderly Pilgrims

Most of our pilgrims are first-timers, and many travel with elderly parents. We plan every detail around comfort and safety.

  • Zone A hotels — the shortest possible walk to the Haram
  • Wheelchair assistance for Tawaf and Sa'i on request
  • Guidance on medication planning and staying hydrated
  • Heat and crowd management, especially at the Jamarat
  • Personal package advice for mobility and health needs

The Complete Hajj Guide

Hajj 2027 from USA & Canada: your complete guide

Hajj is the fifth of the five pillars of Islam — an obligation once in a lifetime for every Muslim who is physically and financially able. This complete Hajj guide answers the practical questions first-time North American pilgrims ask most about Hajj from USA and Canada — from the Hajj visa and Hajj requirements to what the pilgrimage actually involves. Hajj 2027 corresponds to Hajj 1448 AH.

When is Hajj 2027?

Hajj 2027 corresponds to 1448 AH. Based on the Umm al-Qura calendar, Dhul-Hijjah is expected to begin around 8 May 2027, with the rites falling on these days (subject to the official moon sighting):

  • Day of Tarwiyah — Fri 14 May 2027 (8 Dhul-Hijjah)
  • Day of Arafah — Sat 15 May 2027 (9 Dhul-Hijjah)
  • Eid al-Adha — Sun 16 May 2027 (10 Dhul-Hijjah)
  • Days of Tashreeq — 17–19 May 2027

Hajj visa & requirements

Since 2022, Hajj from the USA and Canada is booked exclusively through the Saudi government's official Nusuk platform. To register you need:

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond travel
  • A Nusuk account with a compliant photo (200×200 px)
  • A funded Nusuk eWallet for payment
  • Required vaccinations (meningitis ACWY; others as announced)
  • Your Hajj visa is issued through Nusuk once your package is confirmed — no separate embassy application

Do women need a mahram?

Under current Saudi rules, women may perform Hajj without a mahram (male guardian) when travelling within an organised group. Rules can change season to season. Women of all ages are welcome on Hisar Tour group departures.

There is no upper age limit for Hajj. For elderly or less mobile pilgrims, wheelchair assistance and Zone A (closest to the Haram) packages make the journey far easier.

Hajj from the USA & Canada

Hisar Tour operates group Hajj departures from seven North American gateways, guided end to end by qualified imams:

  • USA: New York (JFK), Washington (IAD), Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Hajj from Canada: Toronto (YYZ)
  • Group flights are typically via a single connection (e.g. Qatar Airways) to Jeddah or Madinah

How much does Hajj cost from the USA?

For 2027, Hisar Tour's packages, guided through the official Nusuk process, start (quad room, incl. group flights) at:

  • Silver (Sheraton Makkah) — from $11,200
  • Gold Shifting — from $10,400 · our most affordable
  • Gold (Rotana Makkah) — from $11,500
  • Platinum (Hyatt Regency) — from $12,300

Estimate your exact cost →

What are the rites of Hajj?

Over five to six days, pilgrims perform a sequence of rites established by the Prophet Ibrahim and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:

  • Entering ihram at the miqat and reciting the Talbiyah
  • Tawaf around the Kaaba and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah
  • Standing at Arafah, then Muzdalifah overnight
  • Stoning the Jamarat, the sacrifice (Qurbani), and shaving/trimming
  • Tawaf al-Ifadah and the farewell Tawaf al-Wada

Hajj terms every first-time pilgrim should know

Ihram
The sacred state (and white garments) a pilgrim enters for Hajj, begun at the miqat.
Miqat
The designated boundary station where pilgrims enter ihram and make their intention.
Talbiyah
The pilgrim's call: "Labbayka Allahumma labbayk" — Here I am, O Allah, here I am.
Tawaf
Circling the Kaaba seven times, counter-clockwise, in devotion.
Sa'i
Walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah.
Arafah
The plain where pilgrims stand in supplication on 9 Dhul-Hijjah — the essence of Hajj.
Muzdalifah
The open ground where pilgrims rest overnight after Arafah and gather pebbles.
Jamarat
The three pillars in Mina, stoned to commemorate Ibrahim rejecting Shaytan.
Qurbani
The sacrifice offered during Eid al-Adha as part of Hajj.
Nusuk
The Saudi government's official platform for booking Hajj from outside the Kingdom.
Mahram
A woman's male guardian; no longer required to perform Hajj within an organised group.
Mashair
The sacred sites of the Hajj days: Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat.

Hajj 2027 FAQ

The essentials pilgrims ask most. Still unsure? Book a free meeting and we'll walk you through it.

Yes — this is the heart of what we do, and most of our pilgrims are first-timers. Qualified imams and murshids accompany every group from departure until return: they lead each rite step by step, provide Bluetooth headsets so you can hear guidance even in the crowds, and are reachable 24/7 on the ground. Before you travel, our free webinars and pre-Hajj seminars walk you through everything — Nusuk, packing, ihram, and what each day will look like.

Hajj involves real walking — Tawaf, Sa'i, and the daily walks to the Jamarat during the Mina days — and it takes place in warm weather. That said, thousands of elderly pilgrims complete it every year with the right package. For older or less mobile pilgrims we recommend non-shifting packages in Zone A (shortest walks to the Haram) and the Majar Al-Kabsh camp (300–700 m from the Jamarat). Wheelchair assistance is available for Tawaf and Sa'i, and Saudi government health insurance is included in every package. Tell us about any mobility or health needs in your pre-registration and we'll plan around them.

Under current Saudi rules, women may perform Hajj without a mahram (male guardian) when travelling within an officially organised group. These requirements can change season to season. Women of all ages are welcome on Hisar Tour's guided group departures, with female-friendly accommodation arrangements.

Saudi authorities typically require proof of meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination for Hajj pilgrims, usually given at least 10 days before arrival. Seasonal influenza and other vaccines may also be recommended. The official Hajj 2027 health requirements are confirmed closer to the season and can change year to year — we share the updated list with registered pilgrims and remind you in good time.

You'll need a passport valid at least 6 months beyond travel, a Nusuk account with a compliant photo (200×200 px), a funded Nusuk eWallet, and your vaccination record. The Hajj visa itself is issued through Nusuk once your package is confirmed — there's no separate embassy application for US and Canadian pilgrims.

Hisar Tour is not the official Nusuk platform. Official Hajj registration, booking, and payment are completed through hajj.nusuk.sa. Hisar Tour provides guidance, package selection support, group leadership, seminars, and on-ground coordination for pilgrims using the official Nusuk Hajj platform. As part of the Seera Group family, we share in Seera Mawasim's 1st Place award for Excellent Service from the Ministry of Hajj, now in our 4th year of partnership.

Hajj 2027 corresponds to 1448 AH. The expected key dates are:

Yawm at-Tarwiyah (8 Dhul-Hijjah)Fri, 14 May 2027 Day of Arafah (9 Dhul-Hijjah)Sat, 15 May 2027 Eid al-Adha (10 Dhul-Hijjah)Sun, 16 May 2027 Days of Tashreeq (11–13 Dhul-Hijjah)17–19 May 2027

Dates are subject to the official moon sighting.

In a shifting package, your accommodation changes at different stages — for example, a hotel in Makkah and then closer arrangements during the Mina days. It optimizes logistics and is more affordable.

In a non-shifting package, you stay in the same hotel the entire trip. It's more convenient and stable — especially for elderly and first-time pilgrims — and usually costs more.

Our indicative Hajj 2027 starting prices (quad room, per pilgrim, including group flights from the USA):

  • Platinum (Hyatt Regency Makkah, non-shifting): from $12,300 (≈ SAR 46,000)
  • Platinum Shifting (Hyatt Regency + Razana Rawda): from $11,200 (≈ SAR 42,000)
  • Gold (Rotana Makkah, ≈13 nights): from $11,500 (≈ SAR 43,000)
  • Gold Shifting (Rotana + Razana Rawda, ~15 nights): from $10,400 (≈ SAR 39,000)
  • Silver (Sheraton Makkah): from $11,200 (≈ SAR 42,000)

Try the cost estimator above to see how room type, transport, and duration change your total. Final pricing is confirmed inside Nusuk.

Nusuk typically opens Hajj package sales a few months ahead of the season, with exact dates announced officially each year. There's no single fixed deadline, but Hajj permits are limited and packages sell out — so we strongly recommend pre-registering early and completing your Nusuk verification and eWallet funding as soon as the season opens, so you're ready to book the moment packages are released. Watch hajj.nusuk.sa.

  1. Visit hajj.nusuk.sa and create an account.
  2. Complete your profile with passport details and a compliant photo (200×200 px).
  3. Fund your Nusuk eWallet.
  4. Browse packages, select and customize yours, and submit.
  5. Pay inside Nusuk and await confirmation.

We guide you through each step — just pre-register or book a free meeting.

We offer Hajj 2027 departures across the USA and Canada. Availability depends on the package:

  • Platinum & Platinum Shifting: New York (JFK), Washington (IAD)
  • Gold, Gold Shifting & Silver: New York (JFK), Washington (IAD), Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Toronto (YYZ)

During the days of Tashreeq you stay in Mina and walk to the Jamarat Bridge daily. Nusuk packages use two camps:

  • Majar Al-Kabsh — just 300–700 m from the Jamarat Bridge, ~5,000 pilgrims, the highest level of service.
  • Al-Muaisim — about 4 km from the Jamarat Bridge, up to 44,000 pilgrims, well-equipped and comfortable.

Closer camps mean shorter daily walks during the most physically demanding days of Hajj — a key reason premium packages cost more.
